Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 18, 2026
TucsonArtisans.com (“TucsonArtisans,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information in connection with our website located at TucsonArtisans.com (the “Site”), and through our social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok (collectively, our “Social Media Pages,” and together with the Site, the “Services”).
Please read this Privacy Policy before using the Services or submitting any personal information to us. By using the Services, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Policy Modifications
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the revised policy here and update the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after any changes are posted means you accept those changes.
Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under the age of eighteen (18). We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Because TucsonArtisans.com allows artisans and event organizers to submit their own listings, we are not always able to verify the age of a person submitting a listing, event, or contest entry. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to remove that information. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us at [email protected].
Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us through the Services, including:
- Artisan and business listings: When you create or manage a listing (through our directory, powered by the GeoDirectory platform), we collect information such as your name, business or studio name, email address, phone number, business description, and any photos or other content you choose to upload. Because the purpose of TucsonArtisans.com is to help the public discover local artists and events, information included in a published listing is intentionally made public and will be visible to any visitor to the Site.
- Header photo contest entries: When you enter our monthly header photo contest (submitted through a Google Form), we collect your name, email address, phone number, business or studio name, and the photo you submit, along with your confirmation that you own the rights to that photo and grant us permission to use it publicly.
- Newsletter sign-ups: If you subscribe to our newsletter (powered by MailerLite), we collect your name and email address.
- Contact form submissions: If you contact us through our website contact form (powered by WPForms), we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- Donations: If you choose to support TucsonArtisans.com through our donation link, that transaction is processed entirely by PayPal. We do not collect, see, or store your payment card, bank, or PayPal account information. Please review PayPal’s own privacy policy for information about how it handles your data.
Future Paid Features
TucsonArtisans.com is currently free to use. We may, in the future, introduce paid options such as featured or premium listing placements. If we do, any payment information will be collected and processed by a third-party payment processor, and we will not directly collect or store your full payment card details. This Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect any such changes before they take effect.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create, publish, and manage your listing or event on the Site
- Administer our monthly header photo contest, including selecting and featuring winners on our homepage and Social Media Pages
- Send newsletter updates about new artists, listings, and local art events (if you’ve subscribed)
- Respond to questions or requests submitted through our contact form
- Maintain and improve the Site’s functionality and content
- Communicate with you about your listing, contest entry, or account, as needed
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and Analytics
We use Google Site Kit, which includes Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use our Site, such as which pages are viewed and how visitors found us. This helps us improve the Site’s content and design. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect this information.
You can learn more about Google’s data practices and opt out of Google Analytics tracking by visiting www.google.com/settings/ads or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Future advertising: We do not currently display third-party advertising on the Site. We may in the future use Google AdSense or similar services to display ads. If we do, those services may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. This Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly before any such advertising is activated, and you will be able to learn more about opting out of interest-based advertising at that time via www.aboutads.info.
We do not respond to browser “do-not-track” signals at this time.

We maintain Social Media Pages on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Any information you share with us through those platforms (such as comments, messages, or public posts) is also subject to that platform’s own privacy policy and terms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or any other third-party platform.
Public Nature of Listings and Contest Entries
Because TucsonArtisans.com exists to promote local artists and their work to the public, please be thoughtful about what you include in your listing, event post, or contest entry. Please do not include personal information in a public listing or contest entry that you do not want to be publicly visible.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information:
- With the service providers listed above, solely as needed for them to perform their function (e.g., MailerLite sending your newsletter emails, PayPal processing your donation)
- As necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of TucsonArtisans.com, our users, or the public
- In connection with a sale, transfer, or reorganization of the business, in which case this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information under the new ownership

- Cookies generally: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect how some parts of the Site function.
Security
We take reasonable measures designed to protect the personal information we collect from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately at [email protected].
Governing Law
TucsonArtisans.com is operated from Tucson, Arizona, United States, and this Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to other websites not operated by us, including individual artisans’ own websites or social media pages.
